Choose Your Meeting

Tonight, there are two meetings of interest--at the same time and at opposite ends of town.

The Hudson City School District Board of Education meets at 7 p.m. in the Hudson High School library. The agenda includes a public hearing on the proposed capital project as it relates to the reorganization of grade levels. Hudson High School is located at 215 Harry Howard Avenue, on the northern edge of the city.

At the very same time, Hudson FORWARD is having its monthly community meeting at the Chamber of Commerce, 1 North Front Street, at the western end of Warren Street. The meeting, which is open to all, features guest speaker Heather Campbell, Hudson treasurer, who will discuss the City's finances.

Hudson FORWARD defines its priorities for 2016 as:
  • Increase understanding of and participation in local government
  • Increase access to learning resources
  • Beautify parks and shared spaces
  • Build relationships across Hudson's communities

  1. Wow. At a time when the community and the schools need better bridges and relationships, this would have been a perfect opportunity for collaboration.

  2. Thank you Carole for helping to get the word out.

To Peter's comment - Hudson FORWARD normally meets every 3rd Thursday, but given holidays and availability of space, our options this month were more limited. Please don't read any more into it than that, as Access to Learning is a big focus for us and collaboration is constant.
