Tomorrow's Common Council Meeting

Tomorrow, Monday, January 11, the Common Council meets at 7:00 p.m. The first part of the meeting will be the annual organizational meeting, which takes place at the beginning of every new year. At that time, the majority and minority leaders are elected, the Council president announces committee assignments, and rules of order are adopted.

At the Conservation Advisory Council meeting last week, Council president Tom DePietro, responding to Hilary Hillman's disappointment that no one on the Legal Committee was familiar with the proposed tree ordinance she had submitted to committee chair John Rosenthal well in advance of the Legal Committee meeting on December 23, said he was "rethinking a lot of things for the coming year." Presumably, at the organizational meeting tomorrow night, we will learn the outcome of that rethinking.

Also at Monday's meeting, there will be a presentation of the draft Hudson Connects Connectivity Plan. Information provided on the City of Hudson website explains:
The City is partnering with street design consultants Arterial, and they will share proposed improvements for streets, sidewalks, and intersections in the DRI district. The presentation will review cost projections and options for which projects to prioritize. This meeting will be an opportunity for the public to provide feedback and ask questions of the City and the design team.
The link to the Zoom meeting has not yet been provided but should appear sometime tomorrow on the City of Hudson website. Scroll down to the calendar.
