At the Library Tonight

At 6 p.m. today, the Hudson Area Library, in collaboration with the FASNY Museum of Firefighting and the Greenport Historical Society, presents a lecture on the museum's current exhibition celebrating the 200th birthday of Harry Howard, chief of New York City's volunteer fire department from 1857 to 1860.

The exhibition, which features artwork and documents from the age of Harry Howard, recounts his life, accomplishments, and philanthropy, and tells of his legacy as it relates to Hudson, the city that named a street for him.

The lecture takes place in person only in the Community Room at the library, 51 North Fifth Street.
