Hudson in 1905: Part 13

The following is an excerpt from the booklet Illustrated Hudson, N.Y., published in 1905. 

F. R. TOWNSEND--Funeral Director. No. 426 Warren street. In the twenty years in which Mr. Townsend has been established in business in this city, he has always maintained the high principles of a calling of this nature. Mr. Townsend is an embalmer or extraordinary skill and ability, and has gained a high reputation among the people of Hudson. His apartments are finely appointed and arranged with an elegant salesroom in the rear of the office, where a fine line of caskets and other appointments familiar to this special business are carried. Mr. Townsend has his own hearse and wagon, and with his long experience in this sort of work and the number of years he has been in this city, has become well known not only for this reliability in cases requiring his services, but for the care and personal attention which he gives to every detail. Mr. Townsend engages one assistant. Residence, No. 519 Warren street. Both phones at office and residence.
