Hudson in 1905: Part 10

The following is an excerpt from the booklet Illustrated Hudson, N.Y., published in 1905.

EDWARD S. NICHOLSON--Dealer in Granite and Marble Monuments. 26 Allen street. This is the oldest establishment of its kind not only in the city of Hudson but in the entire county as well, and one that has always held a leading place for those in need of anything in this line. The fine display of finished material in the showroom and yard is ample proof of the artistic workmanship done here. Stones of any dimension are turned out in the most approved patterns and artistic embellishments. The business has been established here since 1835, and the examples of the establishment can be seen in the burial places throughout the adjoining counties. Mr. Nicholson is a thoroughly practical man himself, and one who has spent many years at his calling, and the prices charged for his products are always in reason to their actual cost and the percentage allowed for good workmanship. See him when you are in need of anything in this line.
