Virtual Meetings in the Week Ahead

The week ahead promises to be hot and humid, with some meetings of great interest.
  • Today, Monday, July 20, the HDC Emergency Business Task Force meets at 3:00 p.m. to continue the discussion of the proposed law regulating short term rentals (STRs). First Ward alderman Rebecca Wolff, who has been a leading advocate for imposing constraints on STRs, will be part of the meeting to answer questions about the law and its goals.   • On Tuesday, July 21, the HDC Emergency Cultural Task Force holds its regular weekly meeting at 3:00 p.m. Click here for the link to access to Zoom meeting.
  • Also on Tuesday, July 21, the Common Council Finance Committee meets at 5:30 p.m. Information to access the Zoom meeting should be available prior to the meeting on the City of Hudson website. Scroll down to the calendar.   
  • At 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 21, the Common Council holds its regular meeting for the month. On the agenda is the proposed chicken law. The Council may also be voting on the resolution, first introduced in April, authorizing a PILOT agreement for 75 North Seventh Street, the housing project proposed by the Galvan Foundation.   • On Wednesday, July 22, the Common Council Public Works and Parks Committee meets at 5:30 p.m. Information to access the Zoom meeting should be available prior to the meeting on the City of Hudson website. Scroll down to the calendar.
  • Also on Wednesday, July 22, the Common Council Legal Committee meets at 6:15 p.m. The draft of the law to regulate STRs is expected to be the major topic of discussion at this meeting.   • On Friday, July 24, the Historic Preservation Commission meets at 10:00 a.m. It is expected that at this meeting the HPC will be voting on the designation of 241 Columbia Street as a local landmark. The Zoom meeting can be viewed on YouTube: Hudson City Zoom Meetings.
