COVID-19 Update

The Columbia County Department of Health has released its numbers for today. Since yesterday, there have been three new cases of COVID-19 and no new recoveries, increasing the number of active cases in the county by three, to 15. There are eight more people in mandatory quarantine, and two more in precautionary quarantine. The number of people hospitalized with the virus remains the same, and there have been no new deaths.
As of 3 p.m. on July 21, 2020:
  • Columbia County has had 37 residents that have passed away from COVID-19.
  • Columbia County has 471 confirmed positive cases.
  • There are 15 active cases of COVID-19 in Columbia County. We are monitoring 32 county residents on mandatory quarantine, and there are 13 on precautionary quarantine.
  • 419 of the 471 cases have recovered from COVID-19
  • 9 of the positive cases are hospitalized, none of those hospitalized are in the ICU
  • We have received 15,900 PCR reports. Please note this number may represent duplicate reports, out of county reports, and multiple nursing home testings.
