COVID-19 Update

The Columbia County Department of Health has released its numbers for today. Our three-day streak of no new cases has ended. Since yesterday, there have been two new cases of COVID-19. There have also been two new recoveries, so the number of active cases remains unchanged at 14. The number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is down by two. Two more people are in mandatory quarantine, but six fewer people are on precautionary quarantine. There have been no new deaths.
As of 3:30 p.m. on July 17, 2020:
  • Columbia County has had 37 residents that have passed away from COVID-19.
  • Columbia County has 465 confirmed positive cases.
  • There are 14 active cases of COVID-19 in Columbia County. We are monitoring 35 county residents on mandatory quarantine, and there are 10 on precautionary quarantine.
  • 414 of the 465 cases have recovered from COVID-19
  • 8 of the positive cases are hospitalized, none of those hospitalized are in the ICU
  • We have received 15,086 PCR reports. Please note this number may represent duplicate reports, out of county reports, and multiple nursing home testings.
