Gossips never minds admitting to sharing misinformation-- especially when the real story is good news. Last night a reader, who has it on good authority, informed Gossips that the owner of 834 Warren Street had withdrawn the property from the market shortly before the Register-Star reported, on February 16, that the house was one of the sites being proposed by Maranatha Human Services for transitional housing.
Presumably, Maranatha will still be making a presentation at the special meeting of the County Board of Supervisors on March 7 about their plans for establishing a transitional housing facility in Columbia County, but 834 Warren Street will not be included in that proposal.
I hope that your source is correct. It's time to talk about re-zoning in Hudson, to protect the community's families, property owners and businesses as well as look out for the best interests of individuals in need of transitional housing or shelters.
