After Gossips reported the news that the route of the power line proposed by the Champlain-Hudson Power Express had been changed, a reader provided this map, which shows where they originally intended to bury cable--right in the channel on the east side of Middle Ground Flats. The green crosshatched areas indicate beds of submerged aquatic vegetation (SAV).
