Mayor William H. Hallenbeck Jr. has issued a Snow Emergency for the City of Hudson beginning 8:00pm this evening Sunday February 8, 2015. After coordinating details with Superintendent of Public Works Robert Perry on the impending snow storm “Marcus” this decision was made. The City of Hudson takes Snow Emergencies very seriously and makes every effort to provide timely and updated information to our residents and for those who visit our City. . . .
From 8 p.m. tonight until 8 p.m. Monday night, cars must be parked on the odd side of the street. From 8 p.m. Monday night until 12 noon on Tuesday, cars must be parked on the even side of the street. The exceptions to these parking regulations are explained here.

I asked the Mayor's aide Friday how much of a grace period car owners have when making the 8pm move to the opposite side of the street on the second day of the snow emergency (in this case, Monday 8pm). My concern is that, in this case, cars cannot be parked on the even side of the street on Monday until 8pm. Does that mean everyone jumps in their car at 7:59 and finds a spot at 8pm?
ReplyDeleteMr. Shetsky said that he recommended that drivers make the move no sooner than 5-10 minutes before 8pm. I don't know if that's what the police follow when issuing tickets.
