In his daily COVID-19 briefing this morning, Governor Andrew Cuomo reported that all numbers are flattening, but sadly that includes the number of deaths. There were 758 deaths from the novel coronavirus since yesterday. For the past six days, the number of deaths from the novel coronavirus each day has exceeded 700, on Wednesday coming very close to reaching 800.
Cuomo also announced two new executive orders. The first will require employers in essential businesses to provide cloth facemasks to their employees. Going forward, we should expect to see facemasks on all the workers at ShopRite. The second executive order will expand who can conduct antibody testing, in order to increase the amount of testing being done. On Friday, the New York Times had an informative article about antibody testing in its Health section: "Will an Antibody Test Allow Us to Go Back to School or Work?"
