The Columbia County Department of Health has released its numbers for today. Although the number of new cases is remaining relatively low, with twelve reported today, there has been another death, bringing the total number of county residents who have died from COVID-19 to 82. The number of active cases reported today is 22 fewer than yesterday, suggesting that 33 more people are now considered to be recovering from the virus. The number of county residents in mandatory quarantine is 61 more today than yesterday. Two fewer people are now hospitalized, but number in the ICU remains the same.
The New York Forward dashboard is reporting a positivity rate for Columbia County yesterday of 2.4 percent and a seven-day average of 3.7 percent. By comparison, the daily positivity rate for the Capital Region is 1.9 percent and the seven-day average is 3.0 percent.
