COVID-19 Update

The Columbia County Department of Health has released its numbers for today. Since yesterday, there have been three more deaths from COVID-19, bringing total number of deaths in Columbia County to 75. The number of new cases seems to be declining. Today, the CCDOH is reporting 25 new cases. The number of active cases is one fewer than yesterday, suggesting that 23 people are now considered to be recovering from COVID-19. There are five more county residents in mandatory quarantine today than yesterday. The number hospitalized with the virus has increased by two, but the number in the ICU has decreased by one.  

The New York Forward dashboard is reporting a positivity rate for Columbia County yesterday of 5.7 percent and a seven-day average of 6.8 percent. By comparison, the daily positivity rate for the Capital Region is 4.7 percent and the seven-day average is 4.7 percent.
