Today is the last day of the season for LICK. They will be opening at 1 p.m. and serving up ice cream at $1 a scoop until it's all gone. William and I plan to get there early. We may even skip lunch.
Your comment inspires me to share a story. This past Sunday, William and I were walking on Warren Street, when we met some people--two couples. One of them asked, "Is this William?" and when I replied that, indeed, this was William, her partner told their companions, "This is the dog from the blog I've been telling you about."
They all, gratifyingly, made much of my beautiful, aged dog, and, as an afterthought, someone said, "You must be the person who writes the blog." I acknowledged that I was, but I was thrilled that my companion, my muse, my spirit guide, my best friend had taken center stage.
3:15 p.m. . . . still plenty of ice cream, but running out of containers (cones) for it. No more cups . . .
ReplyDeleteI've grown to love William from your blog but have never met him.
ReplyDeleteThat's so sweet! Thank you, Road to Nobletown.
