Tonight, around 7:30 p.m., there was police tape cordoning off the sidewalk in front of the Warren Street Market at Warren and Second streets and the crosswalk going west on Second.
Two Hudson police officers and two police cars were on the scene, and the obvious inference was that there had been a robbery or some kind of problem in the convenience store.
A corner of Second and Warren is one of the sites that has been proposed for the installation of police surveillance cameras.

Update: Gossips has since heard that there was an attempted stabbing at this location, and the intended victim fended off the assailant by hitting him over the head with a bottle.
Yikes! I hope we will see an increased police presence on this corner.
