Life in the Time of COVID-19

Late last night, Bob Rasner, chair of the Hudson Development Corporation Board, who is heading up the HDC Emergency Task Force, issued the following press release:
Suspend Short-Term Rentals Now
Covid-19 is not welcome in Hudson. Let's keep it that way.
The Emergency Task Force established by the Hudson Development Corporation (HDC) strongly advises suspension of all short-term rentals in Hudson to discourage any transmission of the Covid-19 virus by transient visitors.
Although our economy is heavily dependent on leisure travel and vacationers, now is not the time for guests. The concerns for public health far outweigh the concerns regarding loss of income for our hospitality industry. Rooms can be put to better use to help us get through this crisis by offering beds to healthcare workers, first responders, and essential employees. Three local businesses, Wm. Farmer & Sons, Rivertown Lodge, and The Wick are providing rooms for Columbia Memorial medical staff during the crisis.
Beds should also be available for local residents who need a place to quarantine, those who need long-term care and anyone who needs housing due to property damage.
ResNexus, a lodging management software provider used by several Hudson innkeepers, has provided two programs to assist innkeepers:
CARES Act Impact on the Hospitality Industry: FAQ
TIPS and TRICKS: A webinar, prepared for ResNexus clients but valuable for all innkeepers.
Thanks to Andrew Webb at ResNexus who provided these links to the HDC Emergency Task Force
