Voting on June 23

In his COVID-19 briefing earlier today, Governor Andrew Cuomo announced that, by executive order, all New Yorkers will be able to vote absentee in the June 23 primary election. Of course, now that Bernie Sanders has suspended his campaign, some of the motivation to vote may have diminished. It remains to be decided if polling places will still be open or if all voting will be done by absentee ballot.

  1. He has suspended campaigning, but he is not out of the race. He will remain on primary ballots in order to get as many delegates as he can. That will give him leverage during the convention to get some of his platform ideas going. Of course, if anything happened to Biden, he would become the nominee.
