October is beginning much better than September ended. The Columbia County Department of Health is reporting that, since yesterday, there have been no new cases of COVID-19 and six recoveries, reducing the number of active cases to four. One person is hospitalized with the virus, and one is in the ICU. There are three fewer county residents in mandatory quarantine today than there were yesterday, and one fewer in precautionary quarantine. It has now been 114 consecutive days since there has been a death from COVID-19 in Columbia County.
With zero positives out of 406 test results received, the positive percentage rate for today is 0.0 percent.
