COVID-19 Update

The Columbia County Department of Health has released its numbers for today. The CCDOH is reporting one new case since yesterday, but comparing the total number of cases reported yesterday and today suggests that there have actually been two new cases. The CCDOH is also reporting one new recovery and an increase of one in the number of active cases. One person remains hospitalized with the virus, and another remains in the ICU. There are four more county residents in mandatory quarantine today than yesterday, and there is one in precautionary quarantine. It has now been 119 consecutive days without a death from COVID-19 in Columbia County.
    
With two positives out of 337 test results received, the positive percentage rate for today is 0.5 percent. The seven day rolling average, according to Gossips' calculations, is 0.7 percent--that is, 15 positives out of 1,952 test results received.
