This Saturday, May 7, is the day of the Third Annual Mad Hatters' Parade, the procession of "aspiring artists, agile absurdists, and ambulatory agitators" through the streets of Hudson. Anyone with an appropriately flamboyant hat or headdress, body extension, puppet, or wearable assemblage of any kind is invited to join the procession, or you can just position yourself along the route to enjoy this "shared spectacle of the nonsensical."
Participants are asked to assemble at the Hudson Area Library, 51 North Fifth Street, at 1:30 p.m. The parade steps off at 2:00 p.m., wending its way from the library to Warren Street, down Warren to Second Street, then south on Second to Allen Street, down Allen to Front Street, and on the Basilica Hudson for a final Grand Sashay.
