Of Interest

John Mason has an article in today's Register-Star about the Prison Public Memory Project and its discoveries about the Girls' Training School, which existed from 1904 to 1975 in the facility that is now the Hudson Correctional Facility, and its soon to begin research into the Women's House of Refuge (1887-1904), the institution for which the buildings were originally designed and constructed: "Project recovers prison's memory."
