COVID-19 Update

The Columbia County Department of Health has released its numbers to today. Since yesterday, for the first time in August, there have been no new cases of COVID-19. There are three people recovering, reducing the number of active cases in the county by three, to 10.  There are fourteen fewer people in mandatory quarantine, and three fewer in precautionary quarantine. The number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 remains the same, and there have been no new deaths.
As of 3:00 p.m. on August 7, 2020:
  • Columbia County had had 37 residents that have passed away from COVID-19.
  • Columbia County has 509 confirmed positive cases.
  • There are 10 active cases of COVID-19 in Columbia County. We are monitoring 93 county residents on mandatory quarantine, and there are 23 on precautionary quarantine.
  • 462 of the 509 cases are recovering from COVID-19
  • 3 of the positive cases are hospitalized, none of those hospitalized are in the ICU
  • We have received 19,453 PCR reports. Please note this number may represent duplicate reports, out of county reports, and multiple nursing home testings.
