Meetings of Interest in the Week Ahead

In the second week in August, here are the meetings that are happening.
  • On Monday, August 10, the Tourism Board meets at 4:00 p.m. to consider more applications for funding. The information to access the Zoom meeting is available  on the City of Hudson website. Scroll down to the calendar.
  • Also on Monday, August 10, the Common Council holds its informal meeting at 7:00 p.m. Information to access the Zoom meeting is available on the City of Hudson website. Scroll down to the calendar.
  • On Tuesday, August 11, the board of the Hudson Community Development and Planning Agency (HCDPA) meets at 10:30 a.m. Click here to join the Zoom meeting. The meeting ID is 889 0283 4916; the passcode is 078727.
  • Also on Tuesday, August 11, the Hudson Industrial Development Agency (IDA) meets at 1:00 p.m. It is expected that the IDA will be reviewing the cost-benefit analysis of the PILOT proposed for the hotel at 620 Union Street. The hotel project has gotten site plan approval from the Planning Board and conceptual approval from the Historic Preservation Commission. Click here to access the live stream of the meeting.
  • At 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 11, the Hudson City School District holds a discussion session for teachers and staff about plans for reopening the schools. Click here to find the link to access the meeting.
  • Also on Tuesday, August 11, the Planning Board meets at 6:00 p.m. At this meeting, Verizon is expected to submit its application for a special use permit to install cell service antennas on Providence Hall. The meeting can be viewed on YouTube at Hudson City Zoom Meetings.


  • On Wednesday, August 12, at 4:00 p.m., HCSD holds a discussion session for parents of students at Montgomery C. Smith Elementary School about plans for reopening the schools. Click here to find the link to access the meeting.
  • Also on Wednesday, August 12, the Common Council Youth, Education, Seniors and Recreation Committee meets at 5:00 p.m. The information to access the Zoom meeting will be published on the City of Hudson website on the day of the meeting. Scroll down to the calendar.
  • On Wednesday, August 12, the Hudson Housing Authority Board of Commissions meets at 6:00 p.m. The information for accessing the Zoom meeting has not been made available. Instead the public can access a recording of the meeting after it has taken place at the HHA website
  • On Thursday, August 13, at 4:00 p.m., HCSD holds a discussion session for parents of students at Hudson High School about about plans for reopening the schools. Click here to find the link to access the meeting.
  • On Friday, August 14, the Historic Preservation Commission holds the first of its two monthly meetings at 10:00 a.m. It is expected that at this meeting the HPC will make a decision about recommending 241 Columbia Street for designation as a local landmark.  The information to access the Zoom meeting will be published on the City of Hudson website on the day of the meeting. Scroll down to the calendar.
