A Change in the Culinary Landscape

The Fox 5 video about Hudson released last week provided a hint about this change, but today the official announcement was made. Fish & Game will not be reopening. In its stead will be a new restaurant called Feast & Floret.

The following is quoted from a email received today from "The Fish & Game Group."
Throughout 2020, we at Fish & Game, like so many of you, have spent a great many hours thinking about how we live our lives, the manner in which we work, the nature of our work specifically, the style and size of our restaurant, and whether our particular blend will continue on as we've known it. Through that process we realized the proper move for us is not to reopen Fish & Game. . . .
So today we announce that Whalers & Merchants, LLC--the company that owns Fish & Game--has decided to pivot its award-winning love-child . . . and introduce a new take on Italian cuisine and dining: Feast & Floret. As its name suggests, this forward-thinking restaurant concept will incorporate a fresh flower market.
As part of this change in name and focus, we also note that our long-time partner, creative inspiration and culinary captain, Zakary Pelaccio, is leaving the company to focus on his growing consulting practice, working with existing and new restaurateurs, developers, hoteliers and wine merchants to conceptualize, design and execute their business plans.

  1. Good luck! Although I don't know if the name reflects the connotation of Italian food. Sounds to me more like "all things broccoli". Seriously though since the closing of Vico and the demise of Ca Mea (sorry but since Max left it's just not the same) Hudson needs a good Italian restaurant.
