COVID-19 Update

The Columbia County Department of Health has released its numbers for today. The CCDOH lists two as the number of new cases, but the total number of cases reported today is three more than it was yesterday, so we can assume there are actually three new cases. The number of people recovering today is two more than yesterday, so the number of active cases has increased by one to fourteen. Three more county residents are in mandatory quarantine today than yesterday, but the number in precautionary quarantine has decreased by one. One person remains hospitalized with the virus, and one remains in the ICU. It has now been 116 consecutive days since there has been a death from COVID-19 in Columbia County.

With three positives out of 250 test results received, the percentage positive rate for today is 1.3 percent.

  1. I'm sorry, but this Covid report from the County is really bad. Thank you Carole for offering the infection rate percentages, but the County should be giving us those numbers, as well the rate over time; i.e. from week to week. It's clear we've had a spike in cases in Columbia County, but we need more information--and we need it fast.
