COVID-19 Update

I spent the day agonizing over what should be Gossips' first post in 2021, and, sad to say, this is it. The Columbia County Department of Health did not publish its numbers today, but the New York Forward dashboard is reporting that, in the past 24 hours, 599 test results were received, of which 48 were positive, for a daily positivity rate of 8.0 percent and a seven-day average of 6.8 percent. Dire as that may seem, Columbia County still had the lowest positivity rate yesterday of the eight counties that make up the Capital Region.

Stay safe. Stay home. This isn't over yet.
