Should You Ever Lose Your Way on the River . . .

it appears there is now a sign to help you recognize when you have found your way home.

Could this be the first step in the upgrades being planned for the Hudson State Boat Launch in the state's Hudson Eagles Recreation Area initiative?

  1. Our family was fortunate to own a 30' sailboat that was docked in Sausalito in the 1960/1970s, in the San Francisco Bay. There were may excursions that we took into the "The San Francisco Bay/Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta is one of the largest estuaries in the United States. It provides water to more than 25 million California residents, farmlands, and key fish and wildlife habitats." Often on longer journeys we would need marine berthing and would need to know whether the facility had fuel, water, electricity, provisions, laundry, etc. Usually there were signs noting what these marinas provided. I would be wonderful if our Hudson waterfront could be such a marina.

The Hudson Power Boat Association provides 80 ft. plus of transient dockage for overnights and day visitors and has for many years. We have water, electric, marine pumpout service (maintained for NYS DEC), ice, fuel, shower room and dumpster pick-up. Additionaly, we rent out seasonal dock space during stripper fishing season from April 5th to Memorial Day. Many of our guests are 'loopers' going to and from the Great lakes and the Intracoastal Waterway. We often provide dockage to the Clearwater, the Riverkeeper, Eleanor, Solaris, etc. free of charge.
