Of Interest

The deadline for submitting plans for reopening schools in New York State was July 31, and the Hudson City School District got its plan in on time, presenting it to the public the night before. Not all the school districts met the deadline. Yesterday, Governor Andrew Cuomo announced that there were 107 school districts that had not submitted their plans for reopening, and said, "For those 107 school districts, how they didn't submit a plan is beyond me. If they don't submit a plan by this Friday, they can't open." On the list of tardy districts are Germantown, Ichabod Crane, and Catskill.

  1. Maybe there was method in their madness. Schools should not reopen. It's too soon to be safe.
