Gellert Responds

In an article by Jamie Larson in today's Register-Star, Phil Gellert defends himself against the criticism he's been receiving since a ceiling collapsed in his building at 408-410 Warren Street on Monday: "Embattled landlord Gellert speaks out." Objecting to being called a slumlord, Gellert is quoted as saying, "I think I do as good as any landlord under the circumstances.”

  1. It takes a special kind slumlord, a uniquely greedy and unscrupulous poverty rancher, who certainly stands without peer in our City, to not only defend oneself, but have the bravado and sheer stupidity to say he's doing as well as any other landlord. What an insult.
