A barge loaded with gravel left the dock in Hudson late this afternoon but not before a smaller barge loaded with trash--scrap metal, some said--was fastened to the side of the gravel barge.
These pictures were taken from the Rip Van Winkle Bridge as the barges passed beneath on their way south.
