In March 2018, Gossips bemoaned the loss of trees and shrubs around 6 West Court Street.
Today, two years later, when the house has a different owner and is ongoing an extensive restoration, the silver maple beside it, which had been spared in the initial assault, came down.
It is news every time we lose a big tree that took 100 years to grow. Once they are mostly gone we will have a charmless town full of historic buildings.
Your use of "either," above, would lead anyone to suppose that you are continuing a preexisting theme and conversation. Instead, you're employing a cheap trick.
So now I'll add the bait-and-switch to your quiver of rhetorical gimmicks which are menacing other people's comments.
To me, your comments are like a continuous display of bad faith, an opportunistic and dishonest rip off.
The above example seems innocuous enough, except you are anything but innocuous.
Seems people other than Galvan take trees down too ... but it continues to be news ... NOT!

ReplyDeleteInstead of just sniping, maybe knock on Malcolm’s door and ask him about it, like a journalist might? Talk to people.
ReplyDeleteYou criticizing "sniping" propels irony to a new level.
DeleteTouché. Yet you don’t use your own name either. Neither does your little partner dog bites man. Hmmm.
DeleteStarting a new subject, eh?
