Wear a Mask

The signage that Mayor Kamal Johnson and Council president Tom DePietro spoke of on Monday began appearing along Warren Street on Tuesday.

As we now understand it, the novel coronavirus came to New York not from China but from Europe, so there's rich irony in the choice of Henry Hudson, who brought smallpox and other European diseases to the Mohicans in the early 17th century, as the standard-bearer for the City's "Wear a Mask" message.
