Signs of Spring

The Capital District Region is still not cleared to begin reopening, in fact, things are worse today than they were yesterday. Yesterday, the region met six of the seven metrics; today, owing to an increase in hospitalizations, we meet only five of the seven metrics. Despite this, Hudson appears to be opening its the parks.

Last evening, I noticed the "Park Closed" signs at Henry Hudson Riverfront Park had been replaced with signs that urged: "Do your part. Wear a mask. Stay 6 feet apart."

Curious to know if all city parks were being reopened, I did a drive up Warren Street this morning. Thurston Park has the new signage, along with a Henry Hudson notice to wear a mask.

At the Public Square, there are mixed messages. Notices at some some entrances still indicate the park is closed, while at others park denizens are urged to "do your part."
