COVID-19 Update

The Columbia County Department of Health released its numbers for today this morning. Since yesterday, there has been another death from COVID-19, but there have been no new cases. One more person has recovered, and there is one fewer person hospitalized. Since yesterday, test results for 261 Columbia County residents have been received.
As of 10:30 a.m. on May 23, 2020:
  • We are sad to report Columbia County has had 32 residents that have pass[ed] away from COVID-19.
  • 360 positive cases of COVID-19 with 139 active cases. There are 65 additional residents on mandatory quarantine and 3 residents on precautionary quarantine.
  • 189 of the 360 cases have recovered from COVID-19
  • 16 of the positive cases are hospitalized, none of those hospitalized are in the ICU
  • We have received 4,222 test results completed for Columbia County residents
The bar graph below shows the pattern of new infections during the month of May. Today is the fifth day of no new infections. Unfortunately, it is not the fifth consecutive day.
