Wear a Mask
In his COVID-19 briefing this morning, Governor Andrew Cuomo announced that he would be signing an executive order later today authorizing private businesses to deny entrance to anyone who is not wearing a mask.
Wear a mask when you are out and about!
Yesterday, Thursday, about noon on Warren Street I noticed a department supervisor standing on the sidewalk without a mask -- not on his face, not ready below his chin. A woman approached him and they kissed on the lips and hugged. She, too, had no mask anywhere near her face. In the immediate area there are several signs regarding wearing masks, social distancing, etc, including at least two very large ones that appeared Thursday or Wednesday and, like the others, appear to be courtesy of City Hall. It was actually refreshing to see a public display of affection, but it was troubling as well. Does City Hall have Covid protocols for its employees, and are there consequences if they aren't followed? If Code Enforcement would be the department to enforce those protocols, we are really in trouble.
