Fire on Allen Street

Gossips usually leaves the breaking news to Bill Williams, but there's a fire on my block of Allen Street.
Smoke is pouring out of a third floor apartment in this building.

All the Hudson fire companies are on the scene, and fire trucks from Greenport and Catskill are arriving.

    does anybody know if this building was occupied ? the address is 225 Allen St. it is a building conjoined -- to buildings in one.

      The address is 223-225 Allen Street. There are two entrances, but for all intents and purposes it is one building. According to eyewitness accounts, the fire, which originated on the third floor of 225, soon engulfed the entire third floor. To my knowledge, the building was fully occupied. Six families were displaced by this fire.
