COVID-19 Update

The Columbia County Department of Health has released its numbers for today. Since yesterday, there have been eleven new cases of COVID-19 and eleven recoveries, so the number of active cases remains the same at 63. The number of county residents hospitalized with the virus and in the ICU also remains the same as yesterday, and there has not been another death from COVID-19 in Columbia County since Monday, November 30.

With eleven positives out of 492 test results received, the positive percentage rate for today is 2.2 percent. The seven day rolling average, according to Gossips' calculations, is 2.2 percent--this is, 66 positives out of 2,941 test results.
