The Columbia County Department of Health has released its numbers for today. Since yesterday, there have been three new cases of COVID-19 and four recoveries, decreasing the number of active cases by one to 53. There are five fewer county residents hospitalized with the virus today than yesterday, but one remains in the ICU. There has not been a death from COVID-19 in Columbia County since yesterday.
With ten positives over the past two days and 576 test results received, the positive percentage rate for the past two days is 1.7 percent. The seven day rolling average, according to Gossips' calculations, is 1.96 percent--that is 54 positives out of 2,762 test results. The New York Forward dashboard, however, reports that the seven day average for Columbia County is 2.1 percent.
