The Columbia County Department of Health has released its numbers for today. Since yesterday, there have been 22 new cases of COVID-19 and fourteen recoveries, increasing the number of active cases by eight to 96. The CCDOH is not reporting how many county residents are hospitalized today, but the number in the ICU remains the same as yesterday. So far in the month of December, there have been no deaths from COVID-19 in Columbia County.
The CCDOH seems to have omitted reporting the number of test results received, because the number for today is the same as yesterday. Therefore, it is not possible to calculate the positive percentage rate for today. Nor is it possible to calculate with any accuracy the seven day average. The New York Forward dashboard, however, reported earlier today that the positive percentage rate for yesterday was 2.9 percent and the seven day average was 3.3 percent.
