The Columbia County Department of Health has released its numbers for today. Since yesterday, there have been 23 new cases of COVID-19 and fifteen recoveries, which would seem to increase the number of active cases by eight to 106, but the CCDOH is reporting 105. The number hospitalized and in the ICU has not changed since yesterday, nor has the number of deaths.
With 23 positives out of 483 test results received, the positive percentage rate for today is 4.8 percent. The seven day average, according to Gossips' calculations, is 3.9 percent--that is, 121 positives out of 3,104 test results. It is now the sixth consecutive day that Columbia County has had a seven day average of more than 3 percent.
