As it does every Friday, the Columbia County Department of Health has released its breakdown of COVID-19 cases by municipality and nursing home. In the past week, there have been 96 new cases.
Greenport saw a largest number of new cases this week, with seventeen. This was followed by Kinderhook with ten, Hudson with nine, Chatham with eight, and Copake and Ghent each with seven. Ancram, New Lebanon, Niverville, and Philmont each had four new cases; Claverack, Hillsdale, and Valatie each had three; Canaan, Germantown, and Stuyvesant each had two; and Austerlitz, Clermont, Gallatin, Stockport, and Taghkanic each had one.
There were no new cases at any of the nursing homes, but the Hudson Correctional Facility made the list for the first time with two reported cases.
As always, in the list below, the first number is the number of cases reported last Friday; the second number is the number of cases reported today. These are total numbers of cases since the first case was reported in Columbia County on March 20. The number of active cases in the county today is 82.
