Get Ready to Be Counted
Starting this week, on Thursday, March 12, households will be receiving mail from the United States Census Bureau. It's the 2020 Census form.

Responses to the 2020 Census request can be submitted online, by phone, or by mail. Later on, between May and July, census takers will begin visiting homes that haven't responded to the request. To see the overall timeline of the 2020 Census, click here.
The goal of the decennial census is to count every person living in the United States. An accurate count is critical. Among other things, the census determines how congressional seats are apportioned and how state and federal dollars are distributed.
