With all the cancellations and fear of public gatherings, one wonders about the Hudson Farmers Market, the place to see and be seen on Saturday mornings.
The Hudson Farmers Market just released a statement that the market will be open at Hudson Lodge, 601 Union Street, from 10:00 a.m. to 1 p.m. as usual, but they are "putting some protocol measures in place to respond to the spread of COVID-19 and to create a safer environment for our market community." The first is to require vendors to wear gloves whenever they are handing out samples. The second is to recommend that "if you are feeling under the weather please take it seriously and stay home. Ask a good neighbor to do some shopping for you and then drop those goods of at your place!" Both common sense recommendations even if we weren't trying to avoid the scourge of a global pandemic.
