Last week, Gossips reported that there was an accepted offer on The Barlow, 542 Warren Street, which had been listed for $2.2 million.
This week, Gossips learned that 521 Warren Street has just been sold for $3 million. Its listing price was $2.8 million.
By my count 521 Warren has sold seven times since 1998. An analysis of property sales trends over the last 10 years should be the beginning of any serious analysis of our "affordable housing" conundrums in Hudson. But we still don't have a Housing Commissioner.
ReplyDeleteAt this rate, Hudson should continue to see increase in the sales threshold. Why not. Featured in the NYT July 7, 2020, Ben Folds and wife put it on the market - commenter scoffed at the $2.8 tag as ridiculous for Hudson. Fast forward, we have a pretty clear indication of what some of the housing stock could demand. Also trending in the surrounding towns. Affordability?
ReplyDeleteI may be mistaken, but I believe the Folds sale included a house on Union Street that is across Cherry Alley from the Warren property.
