The Columbia County Department of Health has released its numbers for today. Since yesterday, there have been six new cases of COVID-19 and three recoveries, which should mean the number of active cases has increased by three to 101, but the CCDOH indicates the number of active cases is 100. There are three fewer people hospitalized with COVID-19 today than there were yesterday, and one fewer in the ICU. The number of county residents now in mandatory quarantine has increased by sixteen, but the number in precautionary quarantine remains the same. There has not been another death from COVID-19 in Columbia County since Wednesday.
With six positives out of 364 test results received, the positive percentage rate for today is 1.6 percent. The seven day rolling average, according to Gossips' calculations, is 1.4 percent--that is, 57 positives out of 3,945. The New York State Department of Health is reporting that the seven day rolling average for Columbia County is 2.1 percent.
