Meetings of Interest in the Week Ahead

This week, all the meetings are concentrated in the first two days.
  • On Monday, November 9, the Board of Estimate and Apportionment (BEA) meets at 1:00 p.m. This will be the final meeting of the BEA to discuss the city budget proposed for 2021. Update: This meeting of the BEA was canceled.
  • At 7:00 p.m. on Monday, November 9, the Common Council holds its informal meeting. So far, nothing appears on the agenda for the meeting except a number of communications, among them Columbia County Planning Board's recommendation regarding the proposed law to regulate short term rentals in Hudson. The Council was waiting for this before voting on enacting the legislation. The link to the Zoom meeting should be published on the City of Hudson website prior to the meeting.   • On Tuesday, November 10, the Hudson Community Development and Planning Agency (HCDPA) meets at 10:30 a.m. No agenda for the meeting is available. Click here to join the Zoom meeting.
  • At 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 10, the Hudson Industrial Development Agency (IDA) holds its regular monthly meeting. Click here to access the Zoom meeting.
  • Also on Tuesday, November 10, there is a special meeting of the Common Council at 5:00 p.m. At this meeting, Mayor Kamal Johnson will present the proposed 2021 budget for the city. The link to the Zoom meeting should be published on the City of Hudson website prior to the meeting.   • Finally, at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 10, the Planning Board holds its regular monthly meeting. The agenda for the meeting can be found here. It includes two public hearings: the first, on a conditional use permit application, the first ever, to keep backyard chickens at 42 Allen Street; the second, on a conditional use permit application from WYLDE Hudson to house "a business office for community-oriented business" in the former location of Ör Gallery and Tavern.
