COVID-19 Update Updated

Yesterday, Gossips noted that the numbers reported by the Columbia County Department of Health just didn't add up. This morning, the CCDOH issued a revised report. Between Saturday and Sunday, there there were seven new cases of COVID-19 and one recovery, increasing the number of active cases by six to 76. The number of people hospitalized with the virus and in the ICU remains unchanged, the number of county residents in mandatory quarantine has increased by nineteen, and no one has died from COVID-19 in Columbia County since Friday.  

With seven positives out of 372 test results received, the positive percentage rate for Sunday was 1.9 percent. The seven day rolling average yesterday, according to Gossips' calculations, was 0.95 percent--that is, 39 positives out of 4,104 test results.
