COVID-19 Update

The Columbia County Department of Health has released its numbers for today. Since yesterday, there have been eleven new cases of COVID-19 and twelve recoveries, reducing the number of active cases by one to 92. There are two fewer people hospitalized today than yesterday, but three remain in the ICU. There has not been another death from COVID-19 in Columbia County since Monday.

With eleven positives out of 657 test results received, the positive percentage rate for today is 1.7 percent. The seven day rolling average, according to Gossips' calculations, is 2.6 percent--that is, 70 positives out of 2,692 test results.
