COVID-19 Update

Having skipped yesterday, the Columbia County Department of Health has released its numbers for today. Since Monday, there have been 23 new cases of COVID-19 and four recoveries, increasing the number of active cases by nineteen to 96. There are four more people hospitalized today than Monday and one more in the ICU. There has also been another death. The number of county residents in mandatory quarantine has increased by sixteen since Monday, but the number in precautionary quarantine remains the same.

With 23 positives out of 874 test results received, the positive percentage rate for the past two days is 2.6 percent. The seven day rolling average, according to Gossips' calculations, is 1.24 percent--that is, 51 positives out of 4,109 test results.
